# Organizations

An **Organization** is the foundation of everything in Avigrah. It represents a single company, client, or business unit and acts as a secure boundary where all AI activity happens.

Every action — from data processing to AI execution — runs within an organization.

***

## What is an Organization?

Think of an Organization as your **private AI environment**.

It ensures that your data, workflows, and AI outputs are completely isolated and controlled.

Each organization includes:

* All your **projects and use cases**
* Connected **data sources and integrations**
* **AI pipelines and agents**
* **Users, teams, and permissions**
* **Usage tracking and billing**

Nothing is shared across organizations unless explicitly configured.

***

## Why Organizations Matter

Organizations are designed to provide **control, security, and clarity**.

### 1. Complete Data Isolation

Your data never mixes with other organizations.\
Every dataset, pipeline, and AI output stays within your environment.

### 2. Controlled AI Execution

AI agents only access data that belongs to the organization.\
This ensures safe and predictable outputs.

### 3. Clear Ownership

Each organization has defined ownership of:

* Data
* Projects
* AI workflows
* Integrations

This avoids confusion across teams and clients.

### 4. Independent Usage & Billing

Usage is tracked at the organization level, making it easy to:

* Monitor activity
* Control limits
* Manage billing

***

## How Organizations Work

Avigrah follows a structured hierarchy:

**Organization → Projects → Pipelines → AI Execution**

* The **Organization** is the top-level container
* Inside it, you create **Projects** for specific use cases
* Each project contains **data pipelines and AI workflows**
* AI runs only within this defined scope

This structure ensures everything is **organized, secure, and scalable**.

***

## Creating an Organization

When you create an organization, you are setting up a **dedicated AI workspace**.

You will typically:

* Define the organization name (company or client)
* Set initial ownership
* Start adding users and teams
* Create projects for different use cases

Once created, all future work happens inside this environment.

***

## Best Practices

To keep your setup clean and scalable:

### Use One Organization Per Client or Business Unit

Avoid mixing unrelated data or use cases in a single organization.

### Keep Projects Focused

Each project should represent one clear AI use case.

### Manage Access Early

Define roles and teams at the beginning to avoid permission issues later.

### Treat Organization as a Boundary

Think of it as a **secure container**, not just a folder.

***

## In Summary

An Organization is:

* Your **AI operating boundary**
* Your **data security layer**
* Your **execution environment**
* Your **billing and usage unit**

Everything in Avigrah starts here.
